Boy Collects $1,000 In Birthday Money, Gives It All To Kids Of Fallen Officer For Father’s Day

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/boy-donates-birthday-money-fallen-officer-miss_n_7622124.html I thought this article was very touching because it always good to hear a kid doing something very good for other especially for kids who have lost their father on the job protecting and serving other. This kid for his birthday collect 1,000 dollars and instead of spending it on himself he went out of his way to make other kids father great by donating the money he collected at his birthday. With lots of negativity about police in the past few years its very good to hear that kids are still looking up to police or wanting to help people who have law enforcement family.

Mock Interviews

The mock interviews conducted in class, was probably one of the best projects I have witnessed in my collage career so far. At first when the assignment was introduced I was a little frighten because i had no clue how it was going to play out. In high school we did a similar project for our law class, but it was nothing compared to the one we did in college. The high school interviews went really bad because none of the students were actually trying, they did not take the roles, and basically half assed the project. While in the one we did, our classmates really put the effort in and took on the role great from, interviewers, to interviewees, they all played a great role. it was a fun cool experience. I think i found it helpful learning about the Reid technique before hand because we right away noticed Richard using that technique.

Chicago Violence and Chicago Police Arming themselves Military style

As we all know Chicago has a very high crime rate, and is very violent. Theres lots of gangs, murders, rapes, everything. a few years back, I read an article on how Chicago Police in typically "bad neighborhoods" were going to start arming very heavily with tactical vest, high power rifles, and assault weapons, it was basically going to be like the national guard. And at one point Trump said he would deploy the National Guard to the Southside of Chicago to stop the violence. In my opinion I think that it was a good thing that the Chicago Police Department are protecting themselves, and taking the appropriate measures for their safely. However, it's also sad that they have to do these things in the city because of the high crime rate. Now, deploying National Guard to the Southside is really not necessary, to me that is to extreme how are there going to be humvees patrolling the streets? what will the kids think? how can this affect them psychologically?

What do I want to do with my degree

Ever since I was young I knew I wanted a career in Law Enforcement, now almost being done with college I would like to either go into the United States Coast Guard, or the Marines. I want to go into one of these branches because I know with the training and experience I would get may give me a better shot into becoming a A.T. F agent. I want to go into the A.T.F (Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and explosives) because these federal agency are in charge of stopping the illegal market on firearms, are in charge of stopping the sell illegal sell of alcohol, and tobacco as well of arson or and explosives. These branch is really goes under seen because many people focus on the FBI, CIA, DEA, but the ATF is also an important branch when it comes to the safety of U.S Citizens, stopping domestic terrorism.
